Jalan Kita 2.0 Application
Managing the road network properly and correctly is a big goal for the Directorate General of Highways and the Director-General of Roads. Continuous, systematic monitoring is needed between road owners and road users. To achieve this, the Directorate General of Bina Marga, together with PT. Pola Agung Consulting once collaborated in developing a monitoring program, namely JAKI 1.0. After JAKI 1.0 was implemented for the monitoring program, several suggestions were made to improve the performance of the JAKI 1.0 program. By following up on this, the Directorate General of Highways decided to develop or improve JAKI 1.0 by creating JAKI 2.0.
PT. Pola Agung Consulting is trusted again as a provider of consulting services to continue the success of the JAKI 1.0 program into the development of the JAKI 2.0 program. PT. Pola Agung Consulting is tasked with conducting plan analysis, design, program development, testing, and submitting program finalization to the Directorate General of Highways as the service user.
JAKI is a mobile phone-based application that requires road users to provide information related to the condition of road infrastructure and road complements in Indonesia. The uses and functions of JAKI 2.0 include:
- Means of delivering information on road conditions and complementary road facilities in Indonesia, for road users directly to road management agencies;
- Sources of information on the condition of road infrastructure and complementary road facilities in Indonesia for the Indonesian people in real time about congestion, traffic accidents, road damage and flooding;
- Source of data analysis for road management agencies to make policy directions related to road conditions according to work areas.
The features of the JAKI application include:
- Sending information along with photos of the condition and location of the GPS position on the device;
- Information can be sent via Twitter by completing the tweet with a photo of the condition, activating the location, and completing the information content with the hashtag #jalankita at the end of each text;
The data uploaded by the public will be received by the road manager in the form of an inbox on the JAKI application and presented to the public through the website in the form of a map of the distribution of reports and reporting status.
