LANGSA - LHOKSEUMAWE TOLL ROAD
Langsa City is one of the cities in Aceh, Indonesia. Langsa City is a city that applies Islamic Sharia law. Langsa city is approximately 400 km from Banda Aceh city. Previously, Langsa City had the status of an administrative city under Government Regulation Number 64 of 1991 concerning the Establishment of the administrative city of Langsa. The Administrative City of Langsa was appointed as the City of Langsa based on Law Number 3 dated June 21, 2001. Langsa City is famous as a city of education, commerce, culinary/food, and city of tourism.
Lhokseumawe City is a city in the province of Aceh, Indonesia. This city is located right in the middle of the eastern route of Sumatra. Located between Banda Aceh and Medan, this city is a vital route of distribution and trade in Aceh. Lhokseumawe was established as a city based on law No. 2 of 2001, dated June 21, 2001 with the northern boundaries being the Malacca Strait. The southern boundaries being Kuta Makmur District, North Aceh District, and the eastern boundaries being Syantalira Bayu District, North Aceh District. . The largest land use in Lhokseumawe City is for settlements covering an area of 10,877 ha or about 60% of the existing area. The land requirement that stands out is mixed plantations of 4,590 ha/25.35% and the need for rice fields covering an area of 3,7747 ha / 21%.
The road network condition that connects Langsa City with Lhokseumawe City is currently considered to meet the comfort criteria in terms of capacity and quality. However, in the context of accelerating regional development on the island of Sumatra, it is necessary to build a toll road that connects various regions on the island of Sumatra, one of which is the toll road that connects Langsa City and Lhokseumawe City.
The explanation and previous studies regarding the master plan for the toll road network show the need to construct new toll roads as a form of road network development, especially toll roads in Indonesia.
