To improve services to toll road users, especially those related to road surface quality in accordance with the Toll Road Minimum Service Standards (SPM), and to increase the safety and comfort factor, PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk. as a toll road manager in 2017 carried out Periodic Maintenance work on the Palikanci Toll Road which included repairing road surface pavements and other parts of the road.

With this work, a Technical Supervision Consultancy Service for Scrapping, Filling, Overlay and Reconstruction Works on the Palimanan-Kanci Toll Road is needed in 2017. The Technical Supervision Consultancy Service source is from the 2017 RKAP of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk. Palikanci Branch.

Road damage that occurs, especially on toll roads, is caused by several factors, including the characteristics of the materials that make up the road itself, the age of the road, the behavior of the road, the climate, the subgrade, and the road construction process. This periodic maintenance work is implemented by improving road quality measures such as Scrapping, Filling, and Overlay (SFO). Scrapping is carried out using a Cold Milling tool which functions to peel off the old asphalt pavement layer, while Filling and Overlaying is carried out with an Asphalt Finisher tool to spread new asphalt as well as a Tandem Roller and a pneumatic Tyred Roller (PTR) which are used to assist the asphalt compaction process.
