Samota Bridge

The Samota Bridge (Saleh Bay, Moyo Island, Mount Tambora), which has become an icon even before construction, has now benefited the residents of Sumbawa and its surroundings because it has started operating in early 2018. This bridge built over the Brang Biji River is the first bridge with a curved structure on the island of Sumbawa.

It does not only consist of an arch structure; this bridge also uses an I girder structure for three other spans out of a total of 4 bridge spans. The arch structure bridge, which is the main structure of the bridge with 81.45 m of length, is supported on four pot bearings consisting of 3 different types, namely 1 with the fixed type, 2 with the guided and 1 with the free sliding type. As for the I-girder bridge with a 40.5 m, each girder is supported by a bearing pad with 20 installed.
