TANJUNG PRIOK ACCESS ROAD

In Indonesia, efforts are being made to expand road infrastructure and improve the efficiency of the entire transportation system to tackle the serious traffic jams in road network. In the Jakarta Metropolitan Area, particularly in the Tanjung Priok Port Area, two Japanese ODA Loans were granted in 2005 and 2006 to improve the road network with the construction of the Tanjung Priok Port Access Road (after this referred to as TgPA).

The Project consists of constructing an access road (a six-lane toll road length of 12.1 km) to Tanjung Priok Port that connects the northeastern Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) with the Jakarta port road and the installation of a Traffic Surveillance System. (TSS) on toll roads in the Jakarta Metropolitan Area. The Special Requirements for Economic Partnerships (STEP) have been applied to this Project.

Tanjung Priok Access Road Construction Project (Phase 2) Package 5 Section NS. Direct is a follow-up package from the Project for constructing a direct access road to and from the Tanjung Priok Port, the connection from the Jampea Intersection to the Pluit toll road. The Tanjung Priok access toll road was built by the Ministry of Public Works, Directorate General of Highways, who received loan funds from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).


Scope of Consultant Services :

·      Check, verify and approve the shop drawing for TgPA (II) sections done by the Contractor;

·      Construction supervision for the Project;

·      Technical Training;

·      The assistance of Environmental management/monitoring during the construction.


The mode of consultant services :

1.Primary assignment: an arrangement in which the Consultant manages the Work with full responsibility to DGH for engineering adequacy and quality of the result within the scope of services specified in the contract

2.Assistance assignment: an arrangement in which the Consultant shall be required to give technical advice and assistance in carrying out the works to be accomplished by DGH, through its professional ability, but not responsible for the result.


Pola Agung was part of the consortium that provided Construction Supervision services for section E2A between Cilincing and Simpang Jampea (approximately 1.92km).
